The hardcover book has gray cloth-covered boards with a decorative design featuring Dr. Dolittle and the animals embossed on front cover & red lettering to spine. Condition is VG- (minus), downgraded primarily due to fairly significant foxing, with spots to all outside page edges, endpapers, & exterior boards. Otherwise, very clean, pages just slightly off-white, binding strong & straight. The front DJ flap is slightly clipped at top corner, orig. $4.95 price at bottom corner. It is intact & nice & colorful on the front, but downgraded to only Fair because it is missing a large chunk out of the mid-spine. General edgewear.
