About This Item

New York: Harrison Smith and Robert Haas, 1934. Fine in near fine jacket.. First trade edition of Faulkner's second short story collection, in uncommonly nice condition and in the original dust jacket. An unusually handsome copy. 7.5'' x 4.75''. Original gilt-lettered blue cloth. In original unclipped ($2.50) dust jacket with design by Arthur Hawkins. Yellow topstain. 371, [1] pages. Short (1'') crack to gutter before half title. Light edgewear and a few tiny closed tears to jacket; spine somewhat toned.
