Paris: Maisonneuve Et Cie, Libraires-Editeurs, 1882. HB. Half black cloth and brown marbled boards, gilt lettering on spine, 8vo, 144, 200 p. Texte Assyrien (en Caracteres Hebreux). X-Library with usual flaws, no marks in text. Front and rear hinges weak but holding. Covers show edge wear, chipping top of spine, cloth cracked at joints. Halevy (1827-1917) was a Jewish Orientalist born in Adrianople who became professor at the Ecole des Hautes Etudes, Paris, and librarian of the Socit Asiatique. Book condition Good.
