Book A collectible copy of this mid-century children's book about a boy who buys a collar and license for his imaginary dog, only to find one that matched on a dogcatcher's wagon. From the copyright page: "This story has been adapted from a short story by Darrell Huff which appeared in Woman's Day." Size: 9" -11" - Small Quarto (Sm. 4to). 59 pages. Item Type: Book. Text block is tight, bright and unmarked. Hardcover bound in red illustrated paper over boards. Corners are sharp with light wear at the tips. A little wear at the head and foot of the spine. No foxing in this copy. Clipped dust jacket shows only minor wear along the edges, particularly at the head of the spine. Now protected in a clear archival Brodart sleeve.
