INSCRIBED BY WILLIAM CARLOS WILLIAMS IN YEAR-OF-PUBLICATION to Brandeis Professor Milton Hindus on front blank endpaper. Williams, along with his mother Raquel Helene Williams, translated this classic 17th century Spanish text in 1954. A clean, VG+ copy in a bright, price-intact, VG distjacket. One quarter-sized chip to the top-edge of the front panel (affecting the word "Fever" in the title), otherwise crisp and tight and well-preserved. 12mo, 96 pgs. Light, scattered ink underlining and notes (in ink) to the very last page of text.
