(Cincinnati): Self-published, 1932. First Edition. Hardcover. Near fine. Large octavo, 377pp., plus illustrations at rear. A near fine copy in the publisher's blue cloth with applied cut-out photograph to front board (appears to be as issued). possibly lacking a dust jacket. This copy SIGNED and INSCRIBED by "Silver King," who is really W. F. Molloy, the Chronicler noted on the title page. A rare volume written from the perspective of the dog, who was a traveling performer, Vaudevillian, and brief movie star, appearing in "On the Great White Trail" and "Rusty Rides Alone" (both of which appeared after publication). We find just three copies in worldwide libraries. There is a promotional slip laid-in, indicting a possible review copy, though this may have been a bonus issued with the trade edition.
