About This Item
Hollywood, California: Walt Disney Productions, 1936. Each of the promotional prints is 10 inches by 8 inches. Probably created using the pochoir process-- the white areas on Donald and on the bicycle tires are flocked to provide texture. In his debut cartoon in 1934, Donald was portrayed with an elongated bill. During the summer of 1936, Disney began to portray Donald with the somewhat shorter bill that is familiar today and as it is in the 2 pochoirs. In 1939 Donald's hat was changed from the predominately white one in these pochoirs to the blue one familiar today. The prints are in excellent condition: clean and bright; free of creasing and tears. The versos are toned.. First Edition. Single Sheet. Near Fine. Illus. by Walt Disney Artists. 4to - over 9¾" - 12" tall. Fine Art Print.
