Fine in fine dust jacket with a mere hint of fade to the red spine lettering mn. 373 pp. The true, inside story of FBI agent Jos Pistone's six-year undercover life in the world of organized crime. It lays bare the people and the inner workings of the Mafia as those on the outside never before saw them. He worked under the name "Donnie Brasco" from September, 1976 until summer of 1981, infiltrating tow of New York's "Five Families"--the Bonnano Family and the Columbo Family. The evidence he ammased led to some 200 indictments and over 100 convictions, as well as the killing of some of those unwittingly responsible for his infiltration. The book was the basis for the classic 1997 mob movie "Donnie Brasco" starring Johnny Depp in the title role.
