"Dorothy Dale is the daughter of an old Civil War veteran who is running a weekly newspaper in a small Eastern town. When her father falls sick, the girl shows what she can to do to support the family." Glossy frontispiece, and three inserted glossy plates. Lists to self at front and to #13 in ad at back of book. 246 pp plus 6 pp publisher's ads.
