A Fairly Clean, Tight Ex-Library Copy. New Endpapers With Some Glue/Paper Traces, A Little Wrinkling Where The Charge Slip Was Attached, Page Edges Very Dusty, Binding A Little Cracked At Page 30/31 With 1/4" Yellow Spots On A Few Pages. Dust Jacket Is First Issue, Bright, Clean, And Almost Unworn, Not Price Clipped ($2.95), With "The Long Tomorrow" On Rear Panel. Rear Panel Clean Except For Those Faint Tape Ghosts, Spine With Small Chip At Top And Bottom And Blacked-Out Area At Bottom, Flaps Clean And Complete. The 1" X 3/4" Area Of The Lower Spine Containing The Doubleday Sf Logo And Name Was Blacked Out To Cover A Tape Removal Scar; The Doubleday Symbol Has Been Restored, But The Other Lettering And Design, Including The Blue Title And Yellow Author's Name On The Spine, Are Original And Are Not Unfaded. Dj Has A 1/2" Deep Narrow V-Chip At Top Rear Spine Edge, Minor Restoration To Interior Tape Reinforcement At Head And Heel Of Spine And At Bottom 2" Of Rear Flap, With Slight Show-Through Remaining On 3/4" X 2" Area Of Lower Right Rear Panel And A 3/4" X 2" Area Centered On The Rear Bottom Flap Fold.

Double Star is a science fiction novel by Robert A. Heinlein, first serialized in Astounding Science Fiction (February, March, April 1956) and published in hardcover the same year. At the 1957 Worldcon it received the Hugo Award for Best Novel of the previous year.
