About This Item
University of Chicago Press, Chicago IL, 1970. Book. Near Fine. Cloth. Second Impression.. Three volumes. Each hardcover volume bound in blue cloth covered boards and cased in a paper covered cardboard slipcase. None issued with a dustjacket. Very slight sunning to the spines of each volume, with an equally nearly imperceptible degree of foxing to the top edges of the page blocks. The slipcase has a small degree of soiling, with some staining apparent after the removal of the original price sticker. Else, the binding of each volume is tight and sharp, with equally sharp edges to the boards and clean, unmarked interiors. The slipcase is intact, with no cracks. One volume of text in English, one volume that catalogues in detail the works that are illustrated in black and white in the third volume. A seminal work by one of the major scholars in the history of art historical writing..
