A general history of the renowned rifle, beginning with the model 1885 single shot and continuing through both world wars and the second generation of Winchester bolt action single shot and the Model 47, then on to the Models 121, 310, and 52D rifles. Contains an appendix on Winchester proof and inspection marks. Extensive black and white photographs, design drawings and patent specification illustrations. 192 pp. Brown-red casing to boards with gilt lettering to front board, spine. Bright, full-color reproduction of Eugene Iverd's "I Wish I had Dad's Winchester" to front board. Glossy pages. Just the tiniest bit of rubbing to spinecaps and tips of corners. Boards very lightly, almost unnoticably cocked.
