This is the first hardcover edition, published in February 1971, a month before the UK, according to Firsts Magazine (Nov. 2002, John D. MacDonald special issue). The true first was a massmarket paperback, published in 1969. First hardcover edition (first printing, with no indication of later printings). Likely an exlibrary copy, with an ink line on the top edge and new endpapers. The jacket is very good, priced at $5.50 and with the code 271 at the top of the front flap, as called for.
Synopsis
Dress Her in Indigo (1969) is the eleventh novel in the Travis McGee series by John D. MacDonald. In it, McGee is asked to investigate what happened to young woman after she disappeared in to the expat subculture of hippies and drug addicts in Mexico.
