Autobiographical reminiscences of the Big Band era of the 1930s and '40s from the often overlooked viewpoint of the sideman. A clarinetist and native Texan, Drew Page traveled and worked with Red Nichols, Freddy Martin, Scat Davis, Jack Crawford, Charlie Ventura, Ben Pollack, and most notably, Harry James with whom he backed a young Frank Sinatra. Inscribed by Page on the front flyleaf. Original cloth binding. The dust jacket is a bit rubbed; otherwise very good. Inscribed by Author.
