Burgundy cloth with a decorative gilt boarder and lettering on cover and spine and pictorial pastedown portrait of a lovely victorian woman; the top edge is gilt. Frontispiece with tissue. Illustrations by F. C. Yohn in sepia. Book has appearance of light use. About near fine; some wear on the ends and gutter, there is a smudge on the front board. Few light smudges within. "D'Ri and I: A Tale of Daring Deeds in the Second War with the British." is a historical novel and was the 10th bestselling novel of 1901. Bacheller was an American journalist and writer. He founded the first modern newspaper syndicate in the United States. ; 8vo ; 362 pp pages .
