First edition, signed by the author at the half-title. 8vo., lavender cloth, gilt, pictorial endpaper As is: binding shaken, sunned, mildly dampstained, edgeworn, skewed, with gilt dulled; hinges cracked, with old ink price to ffep; ffep and fly-leaf starting. Slight age-yellowing to page perimeters. Needs rebinding.
Synopsis
Walter D. Edmonds was a bestselling American author, a National Book Award winner, and recipient of the Newbery Medal. He published over 30 books in his lifetime, and was most popular for his historical novels. He died in 1998.
