Boston: Little, Brown and Company, 1936. First Edition, Second State. Hardcover. Good/No DJ. Blue cloth over boards, title blind stamped onto upper cover together with gilt drum inside of rectangular gilt rule, title stamped in gilt onto spine, map endpapers, top edge stained blue, 8vo, pp. viii, 592. With "Announced May, 1936/ Published July, 1936" stated on the copyright page. Spine is sunned with fading to cloth. Clean and unmarked inside.
Synopsis
Walter D. Edmonds was a bestselling American author, a National Book Award winner, and recipient of the Newbery Medal. He published over 30 books in his lifetime, and was most popular for his historical novels. He died in 1998.
