One of the great novels of the American Revolution,'' reprinted here as one of a lovely series of classic books for young readers illustrated by famous artists of the day, this one by N. C. Wyeth. Orig. published in 1928, this a reprint with renewed copyrights & reset text from Mar.1965, in is is the original publication with these illustrations from that year, in 436 pages with 47 pen-and-ink drawings, a full-color title page & 14 full-page, full-color illustrations inside, all by Wyeth. With orange cloth-covered boards lettered in gilt to spine, the book is in VG condition: as an Ex-Lib copy, it has minimal stamps & markings in front matter & top outside page edges. Else, very clean, binding strong & straight, pages show only very mild tanning. NO writing/underlining/highlighting. Only other flaw is rubbing to extremities, with mild fraying to heel of spine & at corners. The price-clipped DJ is Good+: bright & colorful, but with a largish chip to top edge of front cover near spine & smaller chips elsewhere; nicely protected in new mylar cover free!
