Some wrinkling and marring of the cover, especially at the spine.; A wandering, obviously self-edited, book that enthusiastically describes the operations and wares of Louis Comfort Tiffany's various businesses. Tiffany's output was quite diverse and this book covers Art: paintings, mosaics, jewelry, frescos, murals, Favrile glass; Architectural: stained glass windows, chandeliers, lighting fixtures, wrought iron, architectural fitments; Decoration: furniture, furnishings, mirrors, cabinets, fabrics, draperies, carpets, rugs, table lamps, floor lamps, decorative accessories. Has personal reminiscences of the author's interactions with the company. Concentrates on Tiffany's glass, it's chronology and production process, and L.C. Tiffany's travels to acquire art glass knowledge. Of special interest is a reproduction of Tiffany's price list of 1915 showing wares, their options and finishes, and prices. Includes a 1910 LCT lamp catalog by a distributor and auction records with realized prices. Numerous photos in both color and black and white. This is the first edition of the book and copy 230 of an unstated edition, ink stamped on the front pastedown. Signed and inscribed by the author to Clifford J. Awald. This copy from the estate of Clifford J. Awald, noted collector of fine bindings. His brother John F. Grabau was a fine binder who was a manager of the bindery at The Roycroft Printing Shop. Decorative book plate laid down to the front pastedown "Ex Libris/The Awalds" with their personal library catalog number 67,040. In pebbled, blue cloth over boards with gilt title and device to the front. Gold dust jacket in protective mylar. A clean, attractive copy of a book that approaches Tiffany wares in a different way than other books on the topic. In Near Fine condition in a dust jacket that is at least Very Good +.; Photographs; 4to 11" - 13" tall; 180 [8] pages; Signed by Author .
