First separate edition, an offprint from ARKANSAS HISTORICAL QUARTERLY, Spring issue, 1952. 8vo. 16 pp. Hunting, fishing, and horse racing around ante-bellum Batesville, Arkansas; Noland (1810-1858) contributed sketches based on his outdoor activities to the "Spirit of the Times." OCLC locates eight copies, all in Arkansas. Creased as for mailing, ink marks in margin of rear wrapper, else very good. Printed self-wrappers (rubbed, some erosion to spine, some old staining), stapled. (2895).
