Extremities worn, covers dull and/or somewhat discolored, inner hinges neatly reinforced, contents VG. See Howes A322 for the first history of Dakota Territory, 1866, from which this book was compiled and enlarged. Also Graff 89, for this edition. The author, (1832-1906), served in Congress as a delegate of the Dakota Territory. Other chapters of the book include comments on his congressional service and details of his travels..
