About This Item

Hutchinson, KS: C&B Publishing, 2004 C&B Publishing, Hutchinson, KS. 2004. Softcover/Comb Binding. First Edition. Inscribed by the author on the title page. Book is tight, square, and unmarked. Book Condition: Near Fine; toning of plastic covers in several places. No DJ. Clear plastic wraps. Wraps are not bent or broken; comb binding is unbroken; text is secure in binding. 139 pp 8vo. This book is a testament to progress in Reno County where Post Offices, towns, and hamlets were built for the convenience of farmers to save long stretches of horse and buggy transportation. As time progressed and transportation improved many towns were bypassed or became obsolete leaving only small bits and pieces of existence in the midst of wheatfields and farms. In alphabetical order here are the bypassed places. A clean very presentable copy.

I also have holdings of books on the Middle East, the southwestern United States (New Mexico especially, Kansas related titles, Oklahoma related titles, and other regionally specialized books. All of my holdings are hand-selected to be good quality books of interest to the reader, historian, or the collector.
