About This Item
London: John Murray, 1957. Reprint . Hardcover. Fair/No Jacket. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. 3 volumes. Volume 1: xx, 428pp. (1957); Volume 2: xx, 544pp. (1957); Volume 3: xiv, 555pp. (1960). EX-LIBRARY SET. Volumes uniformly bound in red cloth with gilt lettering to spine and gilt lettering and decorations to front covers. Volumes slightly cocked and the binding of volume two is a little shaken, though not badly so. Volumes admit to a number of small bumps and worn through areas to cloth. Some additional light wear and soiling here and there. Volume two admits to an approximately 2"x2" stain to upper spine. This caused lightening to the cloth. Text is clean, save for perhaps the odd, discreet mark. Overall, this is a good, sound, clean, user friendly set
