(Also first in the English language, following the German 1970 original.) xvii, 282pp. Original orangish brown cloth lettered in gilt. Near Fine with lightly bumped corners in Very Good unclipped dust jacket with sunned spine panel, closed tear on bottom of front panel with repair on verso, light rubbing and small scratch to back panel. A nice copy. A very scarce history of the evolution of Max Planck's Radiation Law at the dawn of the 20th century.
