Boston: Houghton, Mifflin and Company, 1887. Title page dated 1887. Whittier's poetry in an orange Victorian cloth binding lettered in gilt and decorated in black, all edges gilt, frontis portrait of the poet, all pages bordered with red lines. Light rubbing to the extremities, front hinge internally neatly repaired, firm binding, age-yellowed but clean and legible pages with traces of erased pencil marks on a few pages at the beginning, 1893 gift notation written at top of front free endpaper.. Hard Cover. Good. 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall.
