Originally published in 1959, as 'A Moving Record of America's Great Earthquake and Fire: San Francisco, April 18, 1906'. 192 pages with Index, 8-1/4" X 10-3/4". Illustrated with more than 400 black & white photos of the city, both before and after the earthquake. Includes a history of the city prior to the earthquake, as well as detailed stories about those who lived through the destruction, and the rebuilding of the city as well. Sturdy cover stock with French flaps. A first edition - second printing copy. Not price clipped. This is not a remainder copy, not a library discard. No former ownership marks, no writing on the text pages. The edges of the text block are clean. Binding is tight and square. No creases to the cover or spine. The attached photo is of the copy we have in our inventory, not a stock photo.
