New York: Doran, 1922. 1st edition US. Hardcover. Fine. Nielsen, Kay. 1st US edition in this format. Large 8vo, full yellow buckram printed in red, with 25 tipped in color plates by Kay Nielsen. Also wonderful pictorial endpapers in orange, pictorial title page and smaller b&w illustrations throughout in the text. Soft 3/4 inch bump and resultant crease to bottom corner of a few internal pages, entirely in border and far from any plates or text. Partially erased very light, barely noticeable 1923 penciled gift inscription on front free endpaper, overall bright fine copy. Jacket is lightly edgeworn on the foredge seams, two minor 1/2 inch stains at top and bottom edge, spine, and the spine is moderately darkened and edgeworn. Uncommon in jacket.
