About This Item
London: Williams & Norgate, 1885. 1st ed. . Mauve Blind-Stamped Cloth. G-VG. 15 Cm x 22.5 Cm. (2, lists)+half-title+t.p.+(1, Preface)+(1, Contents)+Part title+pp.671-853+16 (unopened pub.list inc.extensive Spencer list) internally clean, tight, completely unmarked, good gutters; covers have small hole near top spine and light spine end rubbing, main problem is extensive scatter of wmall white spots to back which are in fact candle-wax and mostly removeable with patience, spine faded as usual but mauve covers reasonablky okay on that score, though a couple of faded patches to front (the mauve dye used for this series was especially light-sensitive and virtually all copies of this and other works in the series suffer from sun-fading to a greater or lesser extent). Note: quoted shipping rates are calculated for 500-700 gram net weight, cost will be modified up or down as appropriate outside this range. . .
