Looks to be printed on high quality perhaps near acid-free paper with a slick finish. 54 illustrations plus 4 plates which include a nice original etching entitled "The Castle from the Grassmarket" printed on a heavy wove art paper signed J. T. B. in the plate. 8vo. Dark blue cloth stamped in gilt. Top page edges gilded. Tightly bound. A very nice copy. Text appears to be almost like new. near Fine condition. .
