Carleton & Co.- stated on title page)- 1888- 1st Edition Thus- reprinted from the original Carleton plates which Dillingham purchased with company)- Hardcover:-8vo- VG++/ no jacket as issued- orginal dark blue blindstamped cloth, with gilt titles on spine- although an ex-library book, the Buffalo Library did not put pockets on gift books from estates-tiny red stamp on copyright page indicates that no pocket is to be used- bookplate from Buffalo Erie County Library- Most of these books were donated by W. H. Glenny and came from his estate- William H. Glenny was born in Ireland and came to Buffalo in 1836 as a clerk in a bookstore. He opened his own crockery store which, at the time of his death, was one of the largest businesses in the country, with branches extending to all the Western states and Territories. He was also associated with banking and a railroad company. His son (also William H.
