Bound in salmon-colored cloth with publisher device blindstamped on front board, silver lettering stamped on spine. Front endpapers with light offsetting; a touch of dust soiling to top edge; former owner name discreetly written on front pastedown. In the dust jacket that shows moderately darkened spine and light edge-wear. Price of $2.50 intact on front flap. A handsome copy of Russell's analysis of education vis-a-vis class, religion, herd-mentality, competition, etc., which serves as a companion volume to Education and the Good Life (1926). The dust jacket, with excellent off-kilter art deco graphic design, is now preserved in a removable, clear archival sleeve.
