True First Printing with "A" on copyright page and correct flap price -- Not the Junior Literary Guild Book Club a reprint. SIGNED by Milhous on front end paper verso. Decorated cloth with sparse, light spotting on rear cover, two pin holes in rear spine fold and name on front end paper, else tight bright, unmarked interior pages. Priced ($2.00) jacket has three small tanned tape pieces on flaps, a couple chips and tears. 1951 Caldecott Medal winner.
