About This Item

Northampton, MA: Pennyroyal Press, 1980. Moser, Barry. Octavo. (14)ff. One of twenty-six lettered copies, printed by Harold McGrath at Pennyroyal Press and signed by Moser. Text is ornamented with the reproduced brush calligraphy of Betse Curtis, who was with the Press from about 1977 to 1981 as an apprentice, helping to produce some of Pennyroyal's most memorable titles. Each wood engraving is signed by the artist, the engravings being printed on handmade Japanese paper. The intention of this book, according to Moser, is to "celebrate life and the vicissitudes of its pleasures." Corners bumped else fine in blue cloth.
