About This Item
London, UK The Richards Press, 1948. Hardcover First Edition (1948), unstated. Very Good+ in Good+ DJ: The Book shows indications of very careful use; just a touch of wear to the extremities, with mild bumps to the head of the backstrip and the upper corners; sunning to the top and bottom edges of the powder-blue cloth covered boards; the binding is square and secure; the text is clean. Free of underlining, hi-lighting, notations, or marginalia. Free of creased or dog-eared pages in the text. Free of any ownership names, dates, addresses, notations, inscriptions, stamps, plates, or labels. A handsome very nearly-new copy, structurally sound and tightly bound, showing mild wear and unobtrusive cosmetic flaws. The DJ shows considerable wear to the extremities, with small loss to chips and rubbing at the extremities and a short, closed tear at the top of the front hinge which has been repaired from the reverse side; mild rubbing and faint soiling; unclipped. NOT a Remainder, Book-Club, or Ex-Library. xvi, 616 pages. Introduction by John Betjeman. Language: English. Weight: 1 pound, 7.5 ounces. First Edition (1948), unstated. Hardback with DJ.
