About This Item

Einstein's Dreams French folds on cover. Cover shows some edge wear and surface marks Very light water staining on the first several pages. Otherwise book is very nice.- Einstein's Dreams is a fictional collage of stories dreamed by Albert Einstein in 1905, about time, relativity and physics. As the defiant but sensitive young genius is creating his theory of relativity,- new conception of time, he imagines many possible worlds. In one, time is circular,- people are fated to repeat triumphs and failures over & over. In another, there is a place where time stands still, visited by lovers and parents clinging to their children. In another, time is a nightingale, sometimes trapped by a bell jar.- Einstein's Dreams has inspired playwrights, dancers, musicians, and painters all over the world. In poetic vignettes, it explores the connections between science and art, the process of creativity, ultimately the fragility of human existence- -see pictures maybe this will do it maybe it won't. you'll know by looking at the pictures, I try to note all defects,so you can make an informed buying decision... -Expedited Shipping available-by request/ price adjust-..Ruth Reaser..LAX Vespa shipped -United States Post to fulfill your order, Los Angeles I carefully pack your book, hop on my Vespa visit the PO to have it placed in our mail system.. your books wrapped, not co-mingled,you get the copy you were viewing. -Copyright 1993 by Alan Lightman.
