Boston: Roberts Brothers, 1884. Stiff color printed wrappers lacking paper backstrip. Illustrated with drawings by Harry Fenn on nearly every page. Onion skin tissue guard for frontispiece has toned both title-page and frontis. Printed on stiff card stock. All edges gilt. A sound copy, even lacking backstrip. All pages firmly attached and very little wear to wraps. This famous poem by Gray was published in both hardcover and softcover format in 1884 by Roberts. This is the first copy of the soft-bound issue that we have seen. Scarce. Good.. Reprint. Stiff Wraps. Good/No Jacket. Illus. by Harry Fenn. 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall.
