London: Printed for Johnson and Payne, 1770. First edition, 8vo (205 x 130mm), [4], 64pp., title page rather soiled, endpaper renewed, recent quarter calf, marbled boards, morocco title label to upper cover. Fordyce published this 'Part I' on The Natural History of the Human Body after his 'Part II' Fevers and Internal Inflammations which was published in 1768. This edition constitutes the first edition of the first part, the two parts being published together for the first time in 1771.
