About This Item
Edmonds, WA: The Alexandrian Press, 1993. Hardcover. Translation by A.C. Ionides. 8vo. Teal blue cloth with gilt spine lettering. 125pp, (1p ad). Fine. Tight and pristine first of this edition, a facsimile of an edition self-published in London by translator Ionides apparently in 1917 (though the publisher fails to note this). Alexander "Alec" Constantine Ionides (1862-1931) was grandson of the noted Greek-British collector and art patron Alexander Constantine Ionides (1810-90). The fifth century A.D. Neoplatonist philosopher's "Elements of Theology" contains 211 different propositions, of which this is one. This Alexandrian edition is limited to 350 numbered copies (this #297). Scarce.
