London: Rowland Ward Ltd, 1953. 150 pages, plus 2 page diagram of "anatomical relationships of the principal organs..." Plate is tipped in between pages 14 and 15 as originally issued. Covers show rubbing at corners and spine ends. There is some slight discoloration on the top cover where it appears something may have been spilled and wiped up causing the discoloration. End leaves are a little darkened, and there is a slight smudge seen on the rear free end leaf. Volume remains tight and is otherwise very clean.. First Edition. Cloth - Hard Cover. Very Good/No Dust Jacket. 4to.
