A beautifully produced and bound book in full leather with raised bands, and gilt titles and ornaments. The boards are clean and sharp. All the gilt titles and upper board decoration are perfect. Spine lovely and gilt titles perfect. The text block has bright unmarked gilt edges. The pages are crisp and unblemished, feels very carefully read. Fine condition. Signed by author to signature page. Note we do not use stock images, the book pictured is the book described. This volume is produced to the usual excellent Easton Press standard, issued in the Easton Press Signed First Editions of Science Fiction series. Colour frontispiece by David Deitrick. Signed by Womack to the signature page. Also has Introduction by James E. Gunn. This time travel novel featuring Elvis, is the fifth novel in the Terraplane series, and features future speak, similar to Clockwork Orange.
Synopsis
Elvissey (1993) is a Jack Womack science fiction novel, one of his Dryco series, set in a dystopian 2033 CE. The fictional universe is dominated by a Machiavellian multinational corporation and its plans for global domination of its world, and beset by runaway climate change, unstable weather patterns and rising sea levels, which threaten to eventually inundate old New York (although DryCo has constructed a "New" New York on higher ground).
