About This Item
London: Andre Deutsch, 1966. First UK Edition . Hardcover. Very Good/Fine. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. There is some sentiment that this book is an autobiographical novel as there are many similarities between the lives of Gavin Burke and Brian Moore. Boards are covered in bright green cloth and have gilt text on the spine. Head of spine is bumped. Book is tight, square and clean and appears to be unread. Unclipped ( 21 s net) DJ is mylar protected and has spine ends edge wear. Book was shortlisted for the Booker Prize. It is from the collection of the Toronto author/poet and oft-times Harbourfront literary event host, Greg Gatenby, as evidenced by the date he acquired the book and his signature ffep. Author signed, " Brian Moore" below his name on the title page. SIGNED by AUTHOR. Bookseller's Inventory # 122962.

About Lower Beverley Better Books
An online bookstore that just grew from a combination of a love of books, a desire to save them from landfill and an inability to bypass yard sales. A considerable percentage of my inventory is signed editions. I also take pride in my Canadiana catalogue.
