Synopsis
Ernest Shackleton defined heroism in 1915 when his ship, the Endurance, was trapped in ice and then destroyed on its way to Antarctica. Reviews
On Dec 27 2005, Jdfsea said:
Shackleton's story of survival set in the Antarctica of the early 20th century. His expedition was to traverse the South Pole, but after their ship the Endurance was crushed by ice, it became a saga of men trying to stay alive in some of the harshest conditions on the planet, and crossing 600 miles of the most dangerous sea on earth in a twenty-two foot boat. It is the only book that ever made me seasick, and it is a true story.
