An Enemy of Society, or An Enemy of the People as it has been more popularlly translated, is a play by Henrik Ibsen. It was first published and perform in Norwegian in 1882 and 1883 before being translated in English by Eleanor Marx, the daughter of Karl Marx, in 1888. This edition is undated but has Marx's translation. Fair Condition. Brown paper covers with red lettering to front cover. Binding is firm. Pages are moderately tanned and foxed. Paper covers have some notable wear to spine with the spine tail's covering being absent. Notable tape marks to spine from previous owner.
