In this work, the history and traditions of England are detailed in a first section; with a tour of England in a second section. With plenty of black & white photos scattered throughout; indexed. Decorative map of England at endpapers. --- In blue cloth-covered boards with titling and decorations stamped in gilt on spine. Jacket features angelic-looking knight slaying a dragon. --- Insertion of newspaper clipping has resulted in acidic stains at a few locations in the book. With slight wear to edges of cloth & prior owner's signature to front free endpaper; otherwise a firm, clean copy. Unclipped jacket with considerable chipping (an especially large chip to lower edge of front panel) and tearing to edges, but mostly intact.; Octavo (8 to 9 in. tall); 332 pages .
