About This Item
[c.1920].. Seven hand-written and illustrated leaves, string bound between buff card colour illustrated covers. Very good condition. Dated between July 19th and August 20th, the year is not given, but presumably from the early 20th Century judging by the style of the clothing in some of the illustrations. Evidently composed by a young girl, either from an English family living in Tokyo or from an Anglicized Japanese family, it records a brief holiday and other daily events, with a few corrections and markings by a parent or tutor. A charming piece.
