Price-clipped. 238pp. 69 colour illustrations, 240 b/w illustrations. In this book, the author describes and illustrates eleven styles of garden design: Enclosed, French Dutch, Forest, Serpentine, Irregular, Transition, Italian, Mixed, Arts and Crafts, and Abstract, and developed by designers such as Loudon, Kent, Brown, Paxton, Jekyll, Lutyens, Tunnard, Brooks and Jellicoe. 4to - over 9¾" - 12" tall.
