LONDON: THE BLATCHWORTH PRESS, 1949 Green Boards with gilt blocked titles to spine, 220 x 140 mm approx. xvi + 160 pp. Frontis + 17 other illustrations on 12 glossy plates as called for + a few unspecified line drawings in text. First Edition 1949. Please see our images of the actual book offered for sale for further details and condition. Good/ Good (Book- a little general shelf wear and soiling to cloth, gilt titles dulled, pencil previous owner name to free front end paper, mild dust spotting with occassional ingression to margins at top edge of book block, binding sound. Dust Jacket- significant tear to front panel- 6 cm approx and heavily rubbed with nicks and loss around head and more significantly to top or rear panel, with some general soiling, price clipped. Remains quite presentable in a removable proprietary protective sleeve to which pieces of coloured paper have been inserted to mask the stark white of the backing paper.
