Complete. xxxviii, [1] page errata, [1] page advertisement, 648 pages, clxvii "Appendix" and "Index of Principal Matters." Rebound in a later tan buckram binding with title on the spine and plain white paper end sheets. Original end sheets not bound in. First page is the title page. Last page has the printed line "Copy Right secured according to Law". Text block is trimmed. Foxing to the end papers. The title page is damp stained, toned, edge chipped, and repaired with clear tape. Small pin hole pages 647,648. Light to moderate toning and foxing to the text. Binding is very sturdy and the contents clean. Contents cover several areas of law including Act of God, Bankruptcy, Blockade, Customs, Fisheries, Trade, Goods, Insurance, Mariners, Masters of Ships, Shipping, Voyages, Wages, the Slave trade and much more. This is the first American Treatise on Commercial and Admiralty Law. A fair copy only.
