New York: Doubleday, (1990). First edition. Advance reading copy in glossy pictorial paperwraps. The third and final volume in his Elizabethan Trilogy. INSCRIBED BY GARRETT on title page, "For Walter & Jane with love & squalor -- Best wishes/ George Garrett/ 10/13/90." Walter Sullivan (1924-2006) was an author, critic, longtime Vanderbilt University professor, authority on Southern literature, and founding member of The Fellowship of Southern Writers, of which Garrett was a charter member. Jane Harrison Sullivan (1923-2022), taught English literature at Aquinas College. Fine. TOGETHER WITH A SIGNED COPY of the first edition (near fine in near fine dust jacket with tips lightly rubbed and tiny scrape to rear spine fold.
