About This Item

Niagara Falls, NY: Carol Schwartzott, 1994. [14] pp. Approx. 2 x 2" hexagon shape. LIMITED EDITION of 80 copies (an extra 20 deluxe in lacquered box), this being #31 of the regular edition. Pictorial boards in pictorial slipcase, letterpress, six beautiful and vibrant hand-colored illustrations, signed and numbered by the publisher on the colophon, in fine condition. (Bradbury, Schwartzott 3) A beautiful book by book artist Carol Schwartzott who loves to "develop thoughts in sequence and extend them visually by using a variety of materials" (from Bradbury). This story is based on the Aesop Fable "Jupiter and the Camel." The camel wanted horns like a bull, but instead of horns its ears were cropped. The moral of the tale: Value what you have
